S.K. Fitting Valve supplies custom gaskets made to customers’ dimensions and drawings for sealing flange connections, covers and piping equipment. Shape, size, thickness and bolt-hole positions can be specified to match the component, with materials selected according to the fluid, operating temperature and pressure.
When is a custom gasket suitable?
- The flange or equipment has non-standard dimensions that do not match standard gaskets.
- A specific shape is required, such as an oval, rectangle, or profile with custom openings and bolt-hole positions.
- An existing machine requires a replacement gasket, but a matching ready-made part is unavailable.
- The equipment drawing specifies a material, grade or thickness that is not available in the standard product range.
Available Materials
Material options include NR, NBR and EPDM rubber, PTFE, Ferolite NAM 39 non-asbestos gasket material, and asbestos gasket material. Available dimensions, thicknesses and shapes depend on the selected material and the requirements of each order.
Information Required for a Quotation
- Drawing or photograph with dimensions — Provide a technical drawing or clearly dimensioned sketch. If you only have the existing gasket, send photographs so our team can advise which additional measurements are needed.
- Dimensions and shape — For circular gaskets, specify the inner diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD) and thickness. For other shapes, include the width, length and opening dimensions. State all measurements in millimetres.
- Bolt-hole details — Specify the number of holes, hole diameter and pitch circle diameter (PCD), or show the hole positions on the drawing.
- Material and grade — State the required material, brand or grade where specified.
- Operating conditions — Provide the fluid or medium, operating temperature and pressure, together with the flange standard and pressure class if known.
- Quantity and required delivery date — Include the number of pieces, required delivery date and contact details for the quotation.
